Dr. Kavanaugh holds an Ed.D. from Western Michigan University. With over 25 years of combined elementary through graduate teaching experience, she brings expertise in curriculum design and evaluation, literacy, social emotional learning, diversity, and academic service learning to the Ferris State University School of Education. Dr. Kavanaugh has mentored countless teacher candidates across the state of Michigan at the elementary and secondary levels. She also serves as the Graduate Program Coordinator for the M.Ed. Curriculum & Instruction, M.S. Educational Leadership, and M.S. Career & Technical Education Programs.
